A Year in Review with Dale Hurwitz, CEO of Altitude Sync
As 2025 comes to a close, Altitude Sync marks a year defined by the maturation of our business and the validation of our model through the success of our partners. For CEO Dale Hurwitz, the journey from our late-2023 launch to today has exceeded even our most ambitious expectations.
Validation Through Growth and Retention
The most telling metric of the past year isn’t just our 187% growth, but the stability of our ecosystem.
“The biggest highlight has been the validation of our business model through the growth of our partners,” Dale notes. “We have had zero partner churn. Every partner who started with us is still with us today, and new partners are thriving alongside them.”
This success is built on a foundation of competent and partner centric service from both a channel development and technical assistance perspective. By deepening our relationships with both partners and vendors, we have created a more effective service loop that allows MSPs to achieve faster time-to-value and more predictable outcomes for their clients.
Award-Winning Execution
Since our first full year of operation, Altitude Sync has consistently punched above its weight. Being named the Acronis Service Delivery Provider of the Year 2024 and the Acronis Innovator of the Year 2025, as well as runner-up for Fastest Growing Partner, signals that our mission resonates.
For Dale, these accolades reflect a deep-seated team culture: “We strategically select vendors whose solutions we treat as our own. Innovation is a key element of our mission, but it’s about balancing those bold new approaches with a focus on superior service. Doing things in ways that haven’t been done before is hard, but it gives our partners a unique strategic advantage. As a Cloud Aggregator, providing an additional layer of service over and above the traditional distribution approach is something I am proud to have a highly competent and passionate team make a reality.”
Strategic Expansion: From National to Global
2025 was the year we established a national presence in South Africa and successfully onboarded international partners in six new countries. This expansion wasn’t just about size; it was about creating a scalable foundation to support MSPs and ISPs globally. A major catalyst for our global perspective was MSP Global. Dale emphasises the value of stepping away from daily operations: “Beyond the industry-leading speakers, it was inspiring to see the opportunities in the industry globally. It provided clear perspectives and fresh ideas that will allow for continued growth for ourselves and our partners.Attending global events is something I believe all business leaders should do more of. We certainly will be.”
Scaling Our Capability: Simplifying the Technical Landscape
As we have grown as a business, so too has our ability to deliver additional, high-impact solutions which there has been demand for in our partner base. Our technical roadmap in 2025 was focused on simplifying the go to market for our partners, removing barriers to entry and as many other challenges as possible. We recognised that for our partners to truly scale alongside us.
We launched two new cloud offerings in collaboration with Virtuozzo built on high – performance and robust infrastructure being;
- Private Cloud & Virtual Data Centre Solutions: This solution is turn-key, secure and scalable, while offering predictable costs.
- Application Hosting Platform: developed to handle robust, intensive workloads while significantly reducing management complexity. With this offering our partners can find an alternative to public cloud at higher profitability levels.
These aren’t just technical additions; they are strategic enablers. They allow MSPs to deploy faster, scale with confidence, and offer resilient services to their clients, all without the burden of added operational risk or the overhead typical of complex infrastructure and data centre environments.
Beyond the Core: Marketing and Brand Value
One of our most visible strategic shifts was the DHL Stormers partnership. While a new venture for the team, it served as a catalyst for internal growth and partner benefit.
“We chose to use this partnership as a means of building brand value and relationships rather than just driving sales. This benefits our partners by allowing them to leverage these exclusive opportunities and benefits for their own clients.”
Looking Ahead: Opportunities and Ambitions for 2026
When asked about the future, Dale’s response is immediate: “Where do I even start?” The excitement for 2026 isn’t just about company milestones; it’s about the opportunities that Altitude Sync and its partners are positioned to leverage.
Shared Growth and Scaling with Care
First and foremost is the opportunity to continue the momentum of 2025. At Altitude Sync, revenue growth is viewed as a shared victory. “Our revenue growth means that our partners are also growing their businesses,” Dale says. To support this, a major focus for 2026 is expanding the team to service more partners in South Africa and globally. As we continue to scale, we remain focused on the quality of service that has defined our success and will ensure it remains at the highest standard. It is the small things done consistently and correctly that lead to great results.
Setting the Foundations for the AI Revolution
From a technology perspective, the team is energised by the maturation of AI. Dale is looking past the “hype” to find the practical value. “Almost all businesses and industries are going to be re-shaped in a revolutionary manner, which will require heavy foundations to be set,” he explains. “It is exciting to be actively embracing this internally as well as through our vendor solutions. We are focused on enabling our partners to be future-ready and enhance their businesses in
the MSP and ISP space.”
Winning Together
The “winning” mentality extends beyond the office. With the DHL Stormers having a great start to the season, Altitude Sync is wishing them continued success and bringing that same energy to the partner ecosystem. “We all want to win in the year ahead! There are some great events planned with the Stormers for 2026, so make sure to partner with us for your data security and cloud solutions so you don’t miss out.”
The Final Word
We are grateful for the support we have received from our partners! Altitude Sync remains partner-led and results-focused. Our awards, team expansion, and technical launches exist to empower our partners with better protection, better infrastructure, and better business outcomes. Here’s to soaring even higher in 2026.
